Macellato The Sandwich
From the low to high-end, lunchtime in the Financial District is most definitely not lacking in options; however, normal key elements involved in the decision include: wait time, cost, and of course who's paying.
For business lunches, you may want to go for a nice sit-down lunch. But for those who are short on time and want something that will not kill the pocketbook, there is Macellato The Sandwich, located at 59 Columbus Avenue. Right where the Financial District, Chinatown and North Beach meet, this small sandwich shop is an excellent addition to the quick lunch options. Chickenwich, Fishwich, and Beignets are just a few of the options on their nice, simple menu.
Personally, the Fishwich is the one, as it is fast becoming a staple in our office´s diet, but we are open to comments about the other menu items, and will gradually try to add them into the mix. A small shop with very friendly staff, quick service and fast, good food, all in all, this place is a must-try.
