If you work where the Financial District meets North Beach, and you have wondered why there are always lines outside of a tiny hole in the wall on Broadway, Naked Lunch is the reason.
Naked Lunch is the brainchild of chefs Ian Begg and Ryan Maxey, two former Cafe Majestic chefs, who decided to focus their efforts on quality sandwiches with all local, fresh ingredients. The menu changes daily, though some staples are the Artisan Foie Gras Torchon & Duck Prosciutto Sandwich and the Cinnamon Sweet Tea. Each Tuesday, a fried chicken sandwich is served, which is a very popular item. Perfectly seasoned, cooked chicken sits atop a bed of crisp coleslaw between lightly toasted rolls. With a cinnamon sweet tea, it's a great lunch.
We look forward to reviewing the chefs´ new venture, Basque restaurant Txoko, which just opened next door in the former Enrico's space.
