Another Monkey
The space that recently housed the excellent Conduit now is home to Another Monkey. New owners, a new name, and a totally new cuisine. The Another Monkey menu is full of typical Thai dishes, and dishes with a Thai inspiration as well.
Those who have been to Conduit will see that the decor is virtually unchanged, with a maze of pipes and electrical wires still running along the walls, designed by the renowned architect Saitowitz Stanley, though now with a slightly Thai character.
Thai food lovers will find many familiar foods on the menu at Another Monkey. Among the dishes that come highly recommended are the calamari with lime juice, as an appetizer, and the Chian Mai pork or Classic Pad Thai for dinner. We also recommend the Happy Hour specials, to try the house cocktails, which are as delicious (if not more so) than the food prepared by Head Chef Aom Phanthong, (previously of the other two restaurants in the same restaurant group, Koh Samui and the Monkey (415 Brannan St.) and Citizen Thai and the Monkey).
