Amelie
Amelie, on the corner of Polk and Washington, has become one of the hottest spots in San Francisco to enjoy a drink. It has a French ambience, due to the owners being French, and a sophisticated vibe, very welcoming and romantic.
The exquisite little details, like the soft lighting (see the design of the lamps), the excellent wine list, beer, appetizers and main dishes have all made this bar a real classic. And of course, don't forget the the warmth and friendliness of the people who work there. The great ambience has made Amelie a favorite for many SF residents, especially men and women who like to attend the “Happy Hour” to drink away the day's troubles.
For some reason, meeting people here is very easy and organic. After a few excellent glasses of wine, one may feel bold enough to make that first “approach”. Or, you may find Amelie the perfect place to take that special someone on a date. For this reason and many more, Amelie is one of the best nightspots in San Francisco.
